Martin, 65, was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Galen W. Martin, with whom she celebrated 41 years of marriage this past October 25th. Lois was the daughter of Kathryn L. Ressler and the late John E. Ressler. In addition to her husband and mother, Lois is survived by her daughter, Gayle L., wife of Larry Fasnacht, Reinholds; her son, Joel K Martin, Denver; and four grandchildren, Alyssa, Seth, Ethan and Aleah Fasnacht. She is also survived by her sister, Linda and brother-in-law, Daniel Miller Jr., her brother, Leon Ressler and sister-in-law, LouAnn, her sister, Kathy and brother- in-law, Curvin Hurst, and her brother, Loren Ressler and sister-in-law, Fannie. Also surviving are four nieces; eight nephews; and two great-nephews. Lois was the owner of Martin's Permit Agency which she started in 1983. She greatly enjoyed managing her business where she assisted truck drivers with obtaining required permits. She and her husband were also active with the Lancaster County Corvette Club where she served as Newsletter Editor and Membership Officer. She held secretarial positions with Transport for Christ, Northeast Region, and Mohler Church of the Brethren and for Jesus Challenge, a Christian music festival that was held in the early 1980's. She was a long time member of Mohler Church of the Brethren and most recently attended First United Methodist Church of Ephrata. Lois loved children, especially her four grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by them and her entire family. A viewing service will be held on Wednesday at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Thursday at Mohler Church of the Brethren, from 9 to 10 a.m. with the Memorial Service starting at 10 a.m. Arrangements by Roseboro Stradling Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Denver.
