Annville Twp., and formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Marjorie E. Carey May and on January 18th, they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Born in Lebanon, on February 25, 1922, he was the son of the late James E. and Maggie Ritchie May. He retired from Otis Elevator Co. where he had worked in installation. He was an Army veteran of WWII, and served in Normandy and the European and African Theaters. He attended the Jonestown Bible Church and was a member of the Elevator Union. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, James E. husband of Ellen May of Falls, PA, Carey D. husband of Norma May, Bruce B. husband of Sherry May and Joe L. May all of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Wendy of Fredericksburg. 16 grandchildren; and 23 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight May and sisters, Bernice Hetrick and Kathleen Foster. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Countryside Christian Community, N. Annville Twp. Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 8 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown.
