Miller, 77, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at his residence. Joseph was born in Lebanon on January 9, 1934. He was the son of the late Charles G. and Carrie R. (Arnold) Miller. Joseph was a Service Technician and owned and operated Achenbach's Restaurant in Hershey for 23 years. He also worked for Simplex of Central PA as a time recorder. He was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School, Devry Technical Institute of Chicago, Radio Electronic and Television School of Baltimore, Md., and was employed by IBM in Baltimore. He was a member of The Church of St. Cecila, VFW and was a life member of the American Legion. Joseph was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are five sisters, Sr. Justina Marie Miller OSF of Morton, Cecilia A. Rumpf of Lebanon, Justina F. Burkholder of Lebanon, Irene C. McKenzie of Lebanon and Louise C. Kreiser of Williamstown, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen C. Bonner; two brothers, Jerome H. and John F. Miller; and two nephews, Michael Bonner and David Rumpf. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11 a.m. from The Church of St. Cecilia, 202 E. Lehman St., Lebanon, 17046. Interment will be on Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., is entrusted with the arrangements.
