  MYERSTOWN Verna M. Miller, 93, died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at her residence. She 
  was the widow of Harry J. Miller who died July 17, 1993. Born in Jackson Twp. 
  on March 8, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Margaret 
  (Stewart) Rhoads. She was a 1937 graduate of Myerstown High School and had been 
  employed for many years at the Richland Shoe Factory before working at Smith 
  Candies, Myerstown over 20 years and Earl Thomas Candies at the 9th Street 
  Market, Lebanon for 3 years. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, 
  Myerstown and enjoyed taking walks. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen 
  Long of Altoona; and a son, Russell J. husband of Joanne Miller of Myerstown; 
  six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 
  Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. from Friedens Lutheran Church, Myerstown. 
  Viewing Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment at Grand View 
  Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made 
  to the American Cancer Society. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown has been 
  entrusted with the arrangements.
