  Anthony J. Mines Sr. 
  
  PALMYRA Anthony J. Mines, Sr., 81, transitioned peacefully to eternal life at 
  his home on Friday, April 8, 2011. Anthony was the son of the late John B. and 
  Elizabeth Guiliani Mines of Williamsport. He leaves to celebrate his life and 
  memory his children, Maria of Palmyra, Rita of Encino, Calif., Angela (Cory) 
  Eaves of Larchmont, N.Y., and Anthony, Jr. of Ephrata; former wife and friend, 
  Elma of Williamsport; and grandchildren, Kayce Kerr, and Bowton and Wesley 
  Eaves. A daughter, Gina Mines Smith, preceded him in death. At Anthony's 
  request, there will be no formal service. A visitation will be held on 
  Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route 
  422 and Lucy Ave., Hershey. Private interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, 
  Williamsport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice 
  of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or St. Jude 
  Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105. The 
  family gratefully acknowledges the compassionate care of Hospice of Central PA 
  staff and volunteers, and Dr. Nicole Osevala of Penn State Hershey Medical 
  Center. Sincere and heartfelt thanks to friends and all those who touched our 
  lives through numerous acts of kindness.
