"Bob" Moyer, 75, died on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the VA Medical Center. He was born on Saturday, September 14, 1935, to Paul Moyer and Beatrice Moyer nee Horn in Lebanon. He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary where he was a council member and usher. He was a veteran in the Air Force and National Guard. Bob worked at Hershey Foods Corp. for 37 years, vice president of Hershey Labor Union, chairman of the board for Hershey Federal Credit Union, on the United Way Board and Lebanon Labor Council. He also enjoyed crosswords, traveling, was an avid walker and enjoyed Reading & Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Dolphins. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Earline Moyer nee Hartman, Lebanon; daughters, Beth Moyer spouse of Michael Guerra, Hackensack, N.J., Chris spouse of Mike Bucks, Lebanon, Betty spouse of Bo Bixler, Lebanon; son, Robert A. Moyer, Lebanon; daughter, Karen Moyer spouse of David Vann, Boise, Idaho; son, Stephen spouse of Sherrie Moyer, Lebanon; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, John Moyer; sister, Selma Salisbury; brother, Ed Moyer; sister, Beatrice Hamblin, sister, Francis Maini; brother, Ronald Moyer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one grandchild; siblings, Gloria Moyer, James Moyer, Nancy Marshall, Larry Moyer. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, with viewing starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
