  Robert P. Murphy 
  
  QUENTIN Robert P. Murphy, 78, Quentin, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, 
  at the Hospice Unit of the Lebanon VA Medical Center, surrounded by his loving 
  family. Robert "Murph", was born October 27, 1932, in Bellefonte, son of the 
  late Robert Russell and Elizabeth Killeen Murphy. He served as a staff sergeant 
  in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1954. Murph 
  graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in business administration in 
  1958. He retired after 25 years of service as business manager, Commonwealth 
  Campuses, The Pennsylvania State University. He was an avid hunter and fly 
  fisherman with a love for bamboo rods. He enjoyed camping and the out-of-doors 
  with his family. In addition, Murph had a passion for refinishing furniture and 
  collecting antiques. Murph is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, M. 
  Joanna Garbrick Murphy; daughter, Kelly Anne Murphy Grotzinger, wife of Timothy 
  L. Grotzinger, Manheim; brother, Charles E., husband of Linda Murphy, Centre 
  Hall. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Murph's memorial 
  service on Friday, June 24, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. from Ruffner-Porterfield 
  Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, 890 Isabel Drive, (next to Quentin 
  Circle), Lebanon, with Rev. Barry S. Kendall officiating. Private interment 
  will be held in the Quentin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances 
  may be made in Murph's memory to the Hospice Unit of the Lebanon VA Medical 
  Center or the American Cancer Society.
