Musser, 83, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011, at Fairmount Homes Retirement Community. Born in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Isaac H. and Lena (Sauder) Musser, and was the husband of V. Mildred (Sensenig) Musser. They had been married 62 years. A member of Pequea Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference), David was a self- employed farmer in his earlier years. He also had worked as a feed truck driver for Agway and at Ford New Holland in the Janitorial Department. In addition to his wife, David is survived by five sons, Eugene S. (Martha W. Martin) Musser of Lititz, David S. Musser, Jr. of Ephrata, Gerald S. (Darla R. Nolt) Musser of Ephrata, Merle S. (Vera K. Sensenig) Musser of Ephrata, and Wilmer S. (Janelle L. Garman) Musser of Ephrata; four daughters, Mary Jane, wife of Arthur W. Hoover of New Holland, Brenda Mae, wife of Aaron H. Burkholder of Lititz, Doris Jean, wife of Lewis H. Zimmerman of East Earl, and Joanne S., wife of Ray S. Martin of Myerstown; a foster daughter, Mary Elizabeth Holloway of Blue Ball; 36 grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; and five foster great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Rufus S. (Irene Zimmerman) Musser of Ephrata, Isaac S. (Mary Jane Zimmerman) Musser of East Earl, and Roman S. (Kathryn Weaver) Musser of Lititz; and four sisters, Anna, wife of the late Lester High of Denver, Edna, wife of the late James Martin of Schaefferstown, Mary S., wife of Lloyd High of Lititz, and Esther S., wife of Lloyd Oberholtzer of Myerstown. He was preceded in death by his son, Leonard S. Musser; two brothers, Christ and John Musser; and a sister, Eva Oberholtzer. A viewing will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wheat Ridge Chapel at Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, from the Wheat Ridge Chapel with further services at 10 a.m. from the Pequea Mennonite Church, Red Wine Drive, Gordonville, with Bishop Curvin Zimmerman and Ministers Paul Newswanger, Marlin Zimmerman, and Harlan Martin officiating.
