M. shabodeho@aol.com January 13, 2011, 10:42 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on January 10, 2011 Tami Jane Musser ELIZABETHTOWN Tami Jane (Swartz) Musser, 40, transitioned into Heaven on Friday, January 7, 2011, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. She was born February 26, 1970, in Camp Hill. Tami is survived by her husband of 14 years, Jason Musser, and their two daughters, Elise Jane (age 11) and Layne Jason (age 9); her parents, Robert Lowell Swartz, Sr., and Jane Michele (Brownsweiger) Swartz, of Cornwall; her brother, Robert L. Swartz, Jr., of Elizabethtown, and his wife Tara and their children Emily and Robbie. Also surviving are her beloved pug, Brigid, and her big white cat, Brady. Tami was a 1988 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School where she was a Captain of the cheerleading squad. Tami was thrilled to have her children also growing up in the Lower Dauphin School District. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Lock Haven University and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She also earned a Master's Degree from Temple University, Philadelphia. Tami was a Licensed Social Worker for the last 17 years employed at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown where she touched the lives of so many residents and co-workers. She chose to work part time to spend more time with her family. Tami was currently attending The Bridge Church in Hummelstown. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Hershey Chapter 509. Tami's world revolved around her children and family. She was always involved with her children's activities and loved every minute of it. She was there to support, nurture, and encourage her children in every aspect of their lives. Tami's interests also included caring for her animals, reading, travel, fine dining, shopping, baking, fitness, and surfing on her netbook. Tami was a kind, caring, compassionate, non-judgmental woman with the special gift of being a good listener. She was always there to help and support anyone in need. Words cannot truly describe what type of person Tami was, but she simply was the best mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend anyone could have and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Tami's spirit and memory will never be forgotten. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hershey. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery.
