He was the widower of Rachel E. (Fisler) Myles, who died on November 10, 2006. Born October 20, 1920, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late James L. and Mary C. (Casey) Myles. He retired from Ralston Purina in 1985, was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, member of Gideons International, and served 10 years on the board of the Lebanon Rescue Mission. Surviving are his children, Thomas Myles of Hamden, Conn., James Myles of Crofton, Md., Susan Preston of Spencerport, N.Y., Corbett Myles of Rumney, N.H., Kathleen Valle of Concord, N.H., and Howard Myles of Lebanon; brother, Robert Myles of Ephrata; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2011, in the DiMatteo Worship Center of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb St., Palmyra. Private interment with military honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
