Painter PALMYRA Jane Eva Painter, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 14, 2011, at home. She was born Sunday, April 13, 1930, in Palmyra to the late Harry R. and Mary Ann (Yingst) Painter. She was a member of Palmyra Brethren in Christ Church, Berean Sunday school class, attended "Quest" formerly known as Lebanon County Workshop for the mentally challenged for 25 years, and Eldercare West at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home for the last 9 years. She is survived by a sister, Mary Louise Tobias wife of Elmer E. 'Stringie' of Palmyra, and a brother, Kenneth Y. Painter and wife Lois of Richland; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Harry J., Richard B., and John E. Painter; and two sisters, Annabell M. Peters and Kathryn E. Whitman. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Palmyra Brethren in Christ Church, 616 W. Main St., Palmyra, PA 17078, with Pastor Larry Rieck officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra and from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Burial will follow in Palmyra Cemetery, Palmyra.
