  LEBANON Franklin E. Pressel passed away at his home on October 29, 2011, his 
  83rd birthday. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Caroline 
  Hlavaty Pressel. He was born in Lebanon, the son of the late Henry and Martha 
  Pressel. In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister, Gloria Shirk; two 
  daughters, Beverly, wife of Claude Deitzler, of Cummings, Georgia, Colleen, 
  wife of Richard Shaak of Lebanon; three granddaughters, Christine Shaak, wife 
  of Christopher Hare of Harrisburg, Amy Shaak, wife of Chad Koehler of Lebanon, 
  and Tracy Ann Deitzler Moore of Gainesville, Georgia; five great-grandsons, 
  Zachary and Maxwell Hare, Adam, Noah, and Joel Koehler; and several nieces and 
  nephews. Frank was retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corporation after 42 years 
  of service. He was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School and in 2007 was 
  inducted into the L.H.S. Athletic Hall of Fame. Frank was a lifetime member of 
  the Elstonville Sportsmen's Association and the Ebenezer Fire Company and a 
  member of the Friendship Fire Company. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and 
  Penn State fan. He enjoyed many years of boating, woodworking, and 
  gardening. "PaPa" loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and 
  great grandchildren. He will be missed by his family, friends, and buddies.  
  His wishes were to be cremated with no formal service. A private burial will 
  be held at the convenience of the family. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is 
  entrusted with the arrangements.
