Putt WEBSTER, KY Beulah Grace Putt, 98, formerly of Schuylkill and Lebanon Counties, died at home on Friday, June 10, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Earl I. Putt, who died January 5, 1976. She was a member at St. John's Gernant's United Church of Christ, Leesport, Berks County. Beulah had worked at the former Ludens Candy factory during WWII. From 1955 to 1973 Beulah and her husband Earl had a business, Square Deal Nursery, in Ontelaunee Township, Berks County. Born in Lickdale, Lebanon County, on March 20 1913, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Darkes) Shamber. She was preceded in death by a son, Lynwood L. Putt in 1973; three brothers, Leroy Shamber, Edwin Shamber, and Lester Shamber; three sisters, Mildred Eberly, Charlotte Kreiser, and Ethel Shamber; and one great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn Kurtz. She is survived by one son, Ronald L. Putt of Webster, Ky.; two stepsons, Earl Putt of Carroll, Iowa, and Robert Putt of Shillington; 11 grandchildren; 34 great- grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 14, 2011, from 9 to 10 a.m.. at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood, Berks County. Funeral services will be held directly after calling hours at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Leesport Cemetery, Ontelaunee Township.
