Reda, 71, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 18, 2011, one day before her 72nd birthday. She was the wife of Thomas J. Reda, who died October 1994. Barbara was an RN, and she earned her Master's degree in Human Services at age 50 from Lincoln University. Dedicated to helping others, Barbara founded Another Chance Counseling, where she provided family therapy and drug and alcohol counseling for over 20 years. Born in Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Barbara Crist Hesse. She is survived by two sons, Michael Reda and his partner, Jim Leister, of Norristown, and Dr. Thomas J. Reda, II of Philadelphia. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (St. Mary's), 2 North 8th St., Lebanon, with a visitation beginning on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the church. Interment will be made in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery following the Mass.
