  John R. Rich Jr. 
   
  LEBANON John R. Rich, Jr., 84, died Monday, January 31, 2011, at his residence. 
  He was the husband of Carole Crotts Rich to whom he was married for 25 years. 
  Born in Princeton, W.Va., he was the son of the late John R. and Anna Gleaves 
  Rich. John was a WWII veteran serving in both the Air Force and Army. He was a 
  graduate of Ohio State University and worked for IBM for 30 years, the majority 
  of this time as Branch Manager in Roanoke, Va. John was an avid golfer who 
  accomplished an unbelievable five holes in one. He was a member of the Lebanon 
  Country Club and enjoyed playing cards. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are 
  two sons, John Robert Rich, III of Houston, Texas., and Charles W. G. Rich, II 
  and wife Anita L. Trumpler Rich of Greensboro, N.C.; a daughter, Laura Rich 
  Soles and husband, Bobby W. of Richmond, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Martha Blosser 
  Rich of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren, John Robert Rich, IV, David 
  Rich, Laura Brooke Rich, and Kathryn Keene Rich,; and three great-
  grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Major William Benner Rich, a 
  brother and four sisters. There will be a private service held at the 
  convenience of the family.
