  MYERSTOWN Donald G. Riehl, 85, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the VA Medical 
  Center, Lebanon. He was the husband of Mary (Vidal) Riehl, who died June 29, 
  2003. Born in Newmanstown, on July 3, 1925, he was the son of the late Ralph J. 
  and Kathryn A. (Schwartz) Riehl. He was a 1944 graduate of Millcreek Township 
  High School where he played baseball and later played baseball for the 
  Newmanstown Maroons. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict 
  where he had been a Chief Radar Operator stationed in Germany. He had been 
  employed at Rockwell International, Wyomissing for many years prior to his 
  retirement. He was a member of Elias U.C.C., Newmanstown; treasurer of the 
  Lebanon Valley Pigeon Club for many years as he trained and raced homing 
  pigeons; Richland American Legion, Newmanstown Athletic Assn. and was an avid 
  Dodger and University of Kentucky basketball fan. He is survived by sisters, 
  Joan L. Riehl of Newmanstown and Elaine K. wife of Ernest Batdorf of 
  Newmanstown; his faithful companion, dog Rusty; several nieces, nephews, 
  cousins and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by brothers. Elwood and 
  Robert Riehl; and sister. Nancy J. Marks. Funeral services will be held Monday, 
  March 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., 
  Myerstown. Viewing Monday at 10 a.m. Interment at Millcreek Memorial Cemetery, 
  Newmanstown.
