Romberger, Jr., 69, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at 2:55 p.m. in Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Cheryl A. (Davis) Romberger. Harold was predeceased by his first wife, Lynda A. (Endy) Romberger, who died September 24, 2001. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harold E., Sr., and Esther (Meyer) Romberger. He was a 1960 graduate of Hamburg High School and also graduated from Reading Business Institute. Harold was a member of the Air National Guard. He worked as a purchasing agent for Rockwell International for twenty years; and last worked for Fidelty Technology, Muhlenberg Twp., until retiring in 2004. Harold enjoyed country music and cruises. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Troy H. Romberger, and his wife, Kerry; and Jeffrey E. Romberger, both of Bern Twp., Berks Co.; one step-son, Barry L. Hartranft, Jr., and his wife, Jennifer, Ephrata; two grandchildren, Taylor and Bryce; and three step-grandchildren, Danielle, Emily, and Gabrielle. Also surviving is his brother: Theodore Romberger, and his wife Drena, Shoemakersville; and three nephews. Harold will be missed by his pet cat, Mac. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Romberger, died July 9, 1971. Services will be on Monday at 11 a.m. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th St., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society , ATTN: Western Berks Relay For Life , 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605.
