  STRAUSSTOWN Annie M. (Berger) Salem, 78, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. 
  Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of Harry A. Salem, Jr., who died July 
  29, 1994. Born in Myerstown, she was a daughter to the late Lester and Irene 
  (Werner) Berger, Sr. She was a member of Zion and St. John's Reed's Lutheran 
  Church, Stouchsburg and a lifetime member of Rehrersburg Fire Company. She 
  enjoyed country music, animals, and bingo. She is survived by a son, Dorsen 
  L. "Butch" Berger husband of Cindy, Bernville; four brothers, Lester Berger, 
  Jr., Shaefferstown, Harvey, Thomas, and David Berger, all of Myerstown; three 
  sisters, Emma Balister, Lebanon, Dorothy Heckman, Hamburg, and Mary Rick, 
  Annville; a grandson, Kirk Berger husband of Colleen, Womelsdorf; a great-
  granddaughter, Mykala Berger, Womelsdorf; her best friend, Shari Smith; and 
  many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Shirley A. Berger; two sisters; and a 
  brother predeceased her. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at Hill 
  Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, with her pastor, the Rev. Fred Allen officiating. A 
  viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in 
  Trinity UCC Cemetery, Rehrersburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the 
  American Heart Association.
