  Russell F. Schies 
  
  MYERSTOWN Russell F. Schies, 81, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Elsie A. (Rittle) Schies, 
  who died on July 9, 1999. Born in Lebanon, on July 23, 1930, he was the son of 
  the late Francis and Cora (Beck) Schies. A graduate of Lebanon High School, he 
  was employed as a supervisor at the Dana Corp.- Parish Division, Reading, for 
  35 years until his retirement. He also worked as a carpenter, mason, and auto 
  mechanic. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, wood carving, woodworking, Bingo, 
  crossword puzzles, classic cars, and spending time with family and friends. He 
  is survived by a daughter, Donna K., wife of Terry L. Baker of Myerstown; 
  sons, Rick L., husband of Josie E. Schies of Lebanon, Randy L., husband of 
  Linda L. Schies of Pine Grove, Terry A., husband of Deborah Schies of Epsom, 
  N.H., Craig M., husband of Lynn Schies of Forestville, and Gary L., husband of 
  Melissa A. Schies of Myerstown; stepsister, Luella Matthews of Lebanon; 
  grandchildren, Greg Baker, Kendra Atkinson, Peyton Schies, Stefanie Schies, 
  Erin Frantz, Briana Schies, Jessica Heller, Brittany Weaver, and Kyle Schies; 
  and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert 
  Schies, and great-granddaughter,Alyssa Heller. Funeral services will be held 
  Monday, August 1, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington 
  Ave., Myerstown. Viewing Monday at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Grand View Memorial 
  Park, Annville.
