  MYERSTOWN Laura E. Schlappig, 102, formerly of Bethel, died Sunday, March 20, 
  2011, of natural causes at StoneRidge - Towne Centre in Myerstown. Her husband, 
  Norman Y. Schlappig died in 1998. Born in Meckville, on April 19, 1908, she was 
  the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Reedy) Gundrum. She was a member of 
  Salem Lutheran Church, Bethel. Laura loved playing cards and doing puzzles, and 
  was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by a 
  daughter, Blanche L. widow of Claude M. Herrington, Bethel; a sister, Ida 
  Gristick, Cornwall; a grandson, James B. Herrington husband of Janice, Bethel; 
  two granddaughters, Jenny and Janna Herrington; and a number of nieces and 
  nephews. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home, 
  Rehrersburg. Interment at Salem Reformed Cemetery, Bethel. Friends are invited 
  to call Thursday 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home.
