Secoges, 80, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011, at his residence. He was the husband of Eileen (Murphy) Secoges. Born in Minersville, on June 17, 1931, Joseph was a son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Hesse) Secoges. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Church, The Lebanon Valley Homing Racing Pigeon Club, The Blind Association of Lebanon, The Ned Smith Center, and the YMCA, where he loved to swim. He was also active in the Boy Scouts. Joseph enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and camping. In addition to his wife he is survived by eight children, Joseph Jr., husband of Teresa Secoges; Tammy, wife of Paul Roark; David, husband of Karen Secoges; Cindy, wife of Doug Arnold; Edward Secoges; Thomas Secoges; Michael Secoges and James, husband of Sharon Secoges.; seven grandchildren, Joseph III, Erin, Kelly, Paul III, Christine, Benjamin and Daniel; four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kiley, Max and Ezra. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Secoges. Memorial Service Friday morning 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, 17042. Visitation Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
