  Mildred W. Shanaman 
   
  ANNVILLE Mildred W. Shanaman, 86, died peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2011 in 
  the M.S. Hershey Medical Center with her family and pastor by her side. She 
  was the wife of Ralph B. Shanaman to who she was married for 65 years. Born in 
  Annville on April 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Seabold J. and 
  Emma Killian Wentling. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper before 
  she retired. Mildred was a 1943 graduate of Annville High School and also the 
  Lebanon Business College. She was active in her community-belonging to Christ 
  Church United Church of Christ, Annville where she served on the Consistory, 
  as Chair of the Crop Walk, and as President of the Women's Guild where she 
  started the first mother/daughter banquet. She also was a lifetime member and 
  served as Worthy Matron to Lebanon Chapter No. 115 Order of the Eastern Star 
  as well as President of the Lebanon Women's Club. During her lifetime, she 
  enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, and more recently playing bridge. 
  Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Susan and her husband, 
  Marlin R. McCaleb of Mechanicsburg; a granddaughter, Melissa McCaleb of 
  Mechanicsburg; a brother Raymond P. Wentling of Texas; and nieces and nephews. 
  Other brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Memorial services will be 
  held on Thursday at 1 P.M. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. 
  Main St., Annville with inurnment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. No 
  viewing or visitation.
