"Smitty" Smith, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on Thursday, December 1, 2011, in his residence. He was the husband of Mary Jane Ritchie Smith, who died in 1985. Born in S. Annville Twp., on June 15, 1935, he was the son of the late H. Glenn and E. Beverly Heatwole Smith. He was a 1952 graduate of Cornwall High School and was a mill worker with Mark C. Hershey Farms for 54 years. He was very active with the Lebanon 4- H area fair for many years and worked at the milkshake stand. Donald was a member of the Campbelltown United Methodist Church and the Lebanon Optimist Club since 1975. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, spending time with his family, and he enjoyed the company of his family dogs, Sheba and Harley. He is survived by three daughters, Donna, wife of Steve Lymaster of Fredericksburg, Kim, wife of Brian Kessler, and Roxanne Conklin and boyfriend, Herb Gebhard, Jr., both of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Amy Kissinger and Kyle Kessler; four great-grandchildren, Colby, Caleb, Nicholas, and Natalie; and a brother, Curtis H. Smith of Manheim. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lowell S. Smith, and a sister, Shelby Whalan. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Burial will be held in Grand View Memorial Park, N. Annville Twp. Viewing will be held Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of the arrangements.
