"Smitty" Smith, 75, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at his home. He was the husband of Midge Jamison Smith and on June 18th, they celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. Born in Philadelphia, on December 23, 1935, he was the son of the late George A. and Sarah H. Redstreake Smith. He had worked as the Fire Marshall and Building Inspector for Buckingham Twp. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Lahaska Midway Fire Co., and a member and photographer for the Lickdale, Greenpoint, Fredericksburg and Camp Strauss Fire Companies. Along with his wife he is survived by his son, Jamison J. Smith and his wife, Karen of Doylestown. He was preceded in death by his son, Clifford J. Smith; and his daughter, Pierce Ann Smith. Services will be held at the convenience of the family with inurnment being held at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Upper Makefield Twp.
