  Robert W. Snyder 
  
  MYERSTOWN Robert W. Snyder, 86, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the 
  Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Anna (Bender) Snyder for the 
  last 63 years. Born in Lebanon, on October 2, 1925, Robert was the son of the 
  late Edwin and Charlotte Snyder. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School. 
  Robert served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the former Bethlehem Steel 
  Corporation and was the recording secretary for the United Steel Workers of 
  America #1374. He was a member and Eucharistic minister for the Assumption 
  BVM, Lebanon. He was a member of the Lebanon VFW. He attended classes at Penn 
  State, continuing his education in labor ed. He enjoyed telling stories, 
  traveling and playing pinochle. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 
  three children: Cynthia, wife of Gary Kelly; Lisa, wife of David Foore and 
  Dennis Snyder; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces 
  and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family. He was preceded in death 
  by a grandson. Interment with full military honors will be held on Thursday at 
  10 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is 
  entrusted with the arrangements.
