  Elsie M. Sovar 
  
  LEBANON Elsie M. Sovar, 74, passed away in the Good Samaritan Hospital, 
  Lebanon, on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. She was born in Lebanon, on April 4, 
  1937, a daughter of the late William and Christine Houser Whitman. Elsie was a 
  retired baker from Foodland. Surviving are her daughters, Kathleen Nash, 
  Dianne, wife of Michael Schramm, and Elizabeth, wife of Henry Spitler, all of 
  Lebanon; sons, Paul E. Sovar, Jr. of Lebanon, and Sean Gensler, husband of 
  Christi of Kenbrook; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, 
  Linda, wife of Steven Hess of Everett; and several nieces and nephews. Elsie 
  was preceded in death by brothers, William and Lawrence Whitman; and a 
  grandson, Joseph Marko. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 
  2011, at 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., 508 Cumberland St., 
  Lebanon 17042 with the Rev. Dr. Roger A. Bucy, pastor of visitation for Salem 
  Lutheran Church, Lebanon, officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. 
  until the time of the service. Interment will be in Grandview Memorial Park 
  Cemetery, Annville. Contributions may be made in Elsie's memory to the 
  American Cancer Society.
