Stoessel, 92, of 222 Messiah Circle, #465, Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg died Monday, February 28, 2011, in the Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late Kenneth F. Stoessel who died in 2002. Born in Swatara Twp., Lebanon County, on September 11, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Harvey K. and Minnie M. Books Light. She was a homemaker and later retired from the wrapping department at Hershey Foods Corp. Elizabeth attended Jonestown Schools and was a graduate of Messiah Bible College High School. She had a lively sense of humor and was a member of Messiah Village Brethren in Christ Church, the Jolly Stitchers of Messiah Village, a volunteer at the Village, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, bowling, and card club. Surviving are two sons: K. Rodney husband of Sandra Stoessel of Hummelstown and Timothy husband of Jennifer Dallas of Shoreline, Washington; two daughters: Donna L. wife of Daniel Salerno of Annville and Merrie B. wife of Daniel Wyrick of Carlisle; two sisters: Grace Ensminger and Dr. Miriam Dengler both of Annville; a sister-in-law, Alverta Light of Annville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laurie Salerno; a brother, Harvey Light, Jr.; and three sisters, Myrle Pyke, Faithe Light, and Naomi Light. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewings will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Messiah Village Chapel, 100 Mt. Allen Dr., Mechanicsburg and also on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
