  NEWMANSTOWN Brian F. Strauss, 33, died Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born in Lebanon, on March 16, 1978, he was the 
  son of LeRoy S. Strauss companion of Donna Fisher of Richland, and Frances T. 
  (Bowlby) wife of Ronald Schies of Newmanstown. He was employed on the help 
  desk at AWI, Robesonia, for 10 years and later worked as a programmer for 
  Comcast, West Chester, for 2 years. A 1996 graduate of ELCO High School, he 
  completed course work at HACC & RACC. A Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago 
  Bears fan, he enjoyed sports, especially baseball and golf. In addition to his 
  parents, he is survived by a sister, Donna wife of Howard Gathright of 
  Richland; maternal grandfather, Frank husband of Ida Bowlby of Upper Black 
  Eddy; maternal grandmother, Theresa Nielsen of Lebanon; his companion, 
  Elizabeth Boyer of Lebanon; step sister, Yvonne wife of Shawn Sweigart of 
  Newmanstown; step brothers, Jason husband of Donna Schies of Iona and Brian 
  husband of Jennifer Schies of Richland; aunt, Terry Shire; niece, Brittany 
  Boltz; nephews, Shane Boltz, Howard Gathright III, Christopher Gathright, and 
  Justin Gathright; great-niece, Paige Boltz; great-nephews, Hunter Boltz and 
  Gabriel Gathright. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011, 
  at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. There 
  will be no viewing. Visitation Saturday at 10 a.m. until the time of service. 
  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
