  Bruce M. Sweigert 
  
  HUMMELSTOWN Bruce M. Sweigert, 85, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at home. Born 
  June 6, 1926 in Derry Township, Dauphin County, he was a son of the late 
  Harvey Sweigert, Sr. and Edna E. (McFarland) Williams. He retired from The 
  Hershey Company in 1993 and had previously worked at Olmsted Air Force Base, 
  Middletown. A member of Grace and Truth Bible Church, Hummelstown, he was a 
  U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving on the U.S.S. Franklin (CV 13) and 
  U.S.S. Saratoga. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Virginia M. (Horst) 
  Sweigert; children, Dennis, husband of Debra Sweigert of Elizabethtown, Gary, 
  husband of Nora Sweigert of Cheney, Washington, Larry, husband of Lori 
  Sweigert of Annville, Cindy Sweigert of Dillsburg, and Douglas Sweigert of 
  Hummelstown; several brothers and sisters; seven grandchildren; and four great-
  grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson. A funeral service 
  will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace and Truth Bible Church, 410 Pleasant 
  View Road, Hummelstown preceded by a viewing from 10 a.m. Interment, with 
  military honors, in Hanoverdale Cemetery, Hummelstown.
