  MYERSTOWN Grant H. Switzer, 85, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Friday, April 
  22, 2011, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Doris Jean 
  (Youtz) Switzer. Born in Cornwall, on April 12, 1926, Grant was a son of the 
  late John and Catherine M. (Sheetz) Switzer. He was a retired City Policeman in 
  Lebanon, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Lebanon County 
  Retirement Association. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a 
  member of Mary Gate of Heaven Church, Myerstown. In addition to his wife, he is 
  survived by eight children, Dennis L., husband of Joan Switzer of Virginia, 
  Donna M., wife of Wilson Coleman of Myerstown, Cindy L., wife of Randy 
  Himmelberger of Lebanon, Karen S. Switzer of Lebanon, Sharon A., wife of Robert 
  Siegrist of Lebanon, Sheila J., wife of Dr. William R. Davidson of Lebanon, 
  Janelle E., wife of Ronnie Rhoads of Palmyra, and Jeanne E., wife of Steven 
  Laicha of Lebanon; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; two brothers, 
  Glenn Sweitzer and Dennis Hivner; five sisters, Sara Ciccone, Barbara Wallet, 
  Arlene Groft, Arnetta Reichard, and Jane Kugler; and numerous nieces and 
  nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Sweitzer, Donald 
  Sweitzer, and John Sweitzer; and two sisters, Catherine Sweitzer and Marion 
  Bickle. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, 2 N. 8th St., 
  Lebanon 17046. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday morning 
  10 to 11 a.m. at the church.  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the 
  arrangements.
