  Robert Nichols Tanner 
  
  ANNVILLE Robert Nichols Tanner, 83, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in his 
  residence. He was the husband of Janice "Jan" Cole Tanner to whom he was 
  married for 60 years. Born in Oneida, N.Y. on August 3, 1927, he was the son of 
  the late Joseph R. and Mary Doran Tanner. He was previously employed by Norton 
  Abrasives, Troy, N.Y. and retired as an Industrial Salesman from Diamond Saw, 
  Chaffee, N.Y. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII stationed in Japan. Robert was a 
  graduate of Oneida High School; a charter member of the Veterans Club, 
  Durhamville, N.Y.; the York Knights of Columbus where he served as a Faithful 
  Navigator; a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks, York, and a former member of the 
  Outdoor Country Club, York. Surviving in addition to his wife, is a son, 
  Zachary C. husband of Tori Tanner of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Camille 
  K. Tanner of Havertown; a sister, Carol Atkinson of North Port, Fla.; five 
  nieces and two nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 30, 
  2011 at 11 a.m. from the Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 W. Pine St., Palmyra, 
  with the Rev. John J. Peck and the Rev. Robert Harrison officiating. Interment 
  will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held on 
  Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Kreamer Funeral Home and 
  Crematory, Annville is in charge of arrangements.
