Texter, 83, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lucy Zulovich Texter who passed away in 1989. He was born in Lebanon on January 14, 1928, son of the late Frank J. and Mary K. Texter. He retired from the former Quaker Alloy, Myerstown. George enjoyed music and was a disc jockey known as D.J. Tex in the local area. In the 1970's his handle was "Slim Jim" to all his CB Radio buffs. George loved and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter: Patricia, wife of John Kuntz, Lewisberry; granddaughter: Lori, wife of Ken Stroup, Etters; grandson: Carl Cramer and his wife Christina, New Cumberland; great-grandsons: Matthew & Kyle Stroup; companion, Jane Neal, Lebanon. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Grand View Memorial Park, 500 N. Weaber St., Annville. The Rohland Funeral Home Inc., Lebanon is handling the arrangements.
