  Paula H. Torres, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday April 10, 2011 in the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. 
  
  Paula was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on February 27, 1929. She was the 
  daughter of the late Julio Torres and Epifania Herrera. 
  
  Surviving are 6 children; Maria DeFreitas of New York, Clara Mangual of 
  Lebanon, Jose Colon of York, Julio Colon of Lebanon, Brunilda Schott of Lebanon 
  and Ana Gonzalez-White of Williamsport. Siblings; Basil Morales of New York, 
  Flora Torres of New York and Maria Tavarez of Texas. She also leaves behind 22 
  grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, whom she 
  loved dearly. 
  
  Paula was predeceased by a daughter Paula Paniss, a son Theodore Colon, Jr; and 
  siblings, Miriam Morales, Jorge Arena, Jaime Torres and Julio Torres. 
  
  Paula made Lebanon her hometown nearly 35 years ago and grew to be a staple in 
  the community. She loved people, which opened the way for her to become a 
  grandma to families across the community as she took on the role of caretaker 
  and childcare provider to countless kids. A close second to her love for others 
  was her cooking. Her door was always open—and if you walked through it, you 
  better be ready to eat! 
  
  Paula was a member of the Lebanon Christian Fellowship Mennonite Church. Her 
  lively character and her firm faith make her a great example for the family and 
  friends she leaves behind. 
  
  Anyone whose life was touched by Paula is invited to attend a Viewing at the 
  Thompson Funeral Home, 126 S. 9th Street on Thursday from 5-8 PM and Friday 
  from 9-10 AM. 
  
  Graveside services at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, PA, at 10:15 a.m. on 
  Friday, April 15, 2011. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon 
  17042 was entrusted with the arrangements.
