"Pop" Warfield, 85, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011, at ManorCare, Lebanon. Born in Orwin, on August 19, 1925, he was a son of the late Harry and Edna Batdorf Warfield. He was a graduate of Porter High School and a WWII Navy Veteran. He was retired from Cleaver-Brooks, Lebanon, and also worked as an aide at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Mr. Warfield was a member of the Tower City American Legion and DAV. He enjoyed camping, fishing, painting, and woodworking. He was an avid fan of all of the Philadelphia professional sports. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol Travitz Warfield in 2003, and a brother, Lamar, who was killed in action during WWII. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Heuer and her husband, Gary of Myerstown, and Amy Webster and her husband, Dave of Lebanon; three sons, Michael S. and his wife, Beverly of Lebanon, Steven L. and his wife, Ying of Union Deposit, and Timothy D. and his wife, Terri of Lebanon; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, January 17, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.
