  Kenneth W. Wengert 
   
  MYERSTOWN Kenneth W. Wengert died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Manor Care Health 
  Services, Lebanon. He was born 15 November 1931 in Richland, to the late Grace 
  Gassert Wengert and Harvey M. Wengert. Ken was a 1949 graduate of Myerstown 
  High School. He was a naval veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the 
  military on 15 November 1991 having received medals, awards, and commendations. 
  He retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer W-4. He enjoyed traveling, 
  hunting, and reading. Prior to his military service, he was briefly employed by 
  Whitmoyer Labs, Inc. and the Sherwin Williams Paint Co. In addition to his 
  wife, Hetty, he is survived by daughter, Cathy; son, Kenneth, Jr. and his wife, 
  Carol; grandchildren, Amy, Kelly, Andrew, Bryan, and Alyson; great-
  grandchildren, Eleanor Grace and Michael Stephen; sister, Jean B. Wengert; and 
  brother, Robert. He was preceded in death by firstborn grandson, Christopher. 
  He was a member of the Myerstown United Church of Christ and has requested a 
  private service. Anyone desiring to memorialize Mr. Wengert may contribute to 
  the "Endowment Fund" of Myerstown U.C.C., 310 W. Main Ave., Myerstown, PA 
  17067. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
