  MYERSTOWN Robert L. Wetzel, 77, died Sunday, November 20, 2011, at the Reading 
  Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Jane L. (Hoffert) Wetzel, 
  to whom he would have been married 55 years on January 26. Born in Jackson 
  Twp., on June 15, 1934, he was the son of the late Mahlon and Grace A. 
  (Troutman) Deamer. After completing 11th grade in Stouchsburg in 1951, he went 
  on to graduate from Myerstown High School in 1952. He began his service in the 
  U.S. Army during the Korean War and was employed as a truck driver by New 
  Penn, East Petersburg, for 26 years retiring in 1996. A member of Tulpehocken 
  UCC, Richland, he enjoyed woodworking, operating his 1951 antique tractor, 
  antique cars, and spending time with his family. He was also active with the 
  Marion Senior Citizens, Stouchsburg, and was a member of the Teamsters Local 
  429. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Cindy wife of 
  Chester Michael of Fredericksburg, Julie wife of Ray Hepner of Hamburg; sons, 
  Robert Jr. husband of Gini Wetzel of Womelsdorf, Curt husband of Bev Wetzel of 
  Denver; sister, Sylvia Bucks of Robesonia; brothers, Donald husband of Shirley 
  Wetzel of Myerstown, Richard Wetzel of Richland fiance of Rose Deibler of 
  Hummelstown; six granddaughters; four grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and 
  many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. 
  from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Viewing Wednesday 
  from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at 8:30 a.m. Interment at Indiantown Gap National 
  Cemetery, Annville.
