  Virginia S. Wiest 
  
  HERSHEY Virginia S. "Ginny" Wiest, 81, formerly of Lebanon, died Saturday, 
  November 5, 2011, in Manor Care Nursing & Rehab Center, Elizabethtown. She was 
  born November 23, 1929, in Lancaster, daughter of the late James R. and Maude 
  (Richards) Shope. Virginia was a teacher for Cornwall Elementary School for 
  over 20 years. Surviving are two sons, Donald L. (wife Lisa) Wiest, II of 
  Hershey; and Daniel R. (wife Joann) Wiest of Schenectady, N.Y.; 
  granddaughters, Cory and Jenna Wiest of N.Y.; sister, Gerry Shipley of York; 
  three brothers, Jim Shope of Baldwinsville N.Y.; Dick Shope of Hershey; and 
  Robert Shope of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in 
  death by her husband, Donald L. Wiest, who passed away in 1991. A visitation 
  will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday as well as one hour prior to the service. 
  Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. Visitations and service will be in 
  the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 422 & Lucy Ave. in Hershey. Private 
  interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
