M. shabodeho@aol.com May 18, 2011, 12:48 am Published in Lebanon Daily News on May 17, 2011 Kenneth P. Williams ANNVILLE Kenneth P. "Tex" Williams, 73, died Monday, May 16, 2011, in his residence. He was the husband of Carol I. "Sis" Deimler Williams who died in 1998. Born in Rexmont on October 30, 1937, he was the son of the late Parker Williams and Elsie Magni Carpenter. He retired in 1999 from the Cocoa Department at Hershey Foods Corp. He was formerly employed with HERCO Security, San Georgio Pasta, Lebanon, and Milsan Mills, Lebanon. "Tex" was a member of the Annville American Legion Post 559, Annville Union Hose Fire Company where he served as a Fire Fighter, Fire Policeman, and Ambulance Driver. He was also the Union Hose Club bartender and cook, and played in its dart league and on the softball team. He was the flag bearer for the Hershey Chocolatetiers Drum and Bugle Corp., an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and fisherman who especially enjoyed teaching his grandchildren this hobby. Surviving are a son, Michael K. husband of Karen Williams of Springfield; a daughter, Tracy L. Gebhard and her fiance Kenneth Rohrer and his son Michael Rohrer all of Annville; grandchildren, Jason Williams of Port Orange, Fla., Justin Williams of Springfield, Avery and Ciara Gebhard of Annville; brothers, Frederick husband of Anne Carpenter of Palmyra, Harry husband of Jan Carpenter of Palmyra, Robert husband of Shirley Carpenter of Lebanon; sisters, Judy Sisko of Lebanon and Dorothea Yordy of Lebanon; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Carpenter, and a step-father, Simon T. Carpenter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
