Wise died peacefully Sunday, January 16, 2011, with her husband Art McCollum at her side. Born in Lebanon on June 7, 1955, Gail was the daughter of Lorraine D. and Freeman D. Rice. She is survived by husband, Art McCollum; sisters, Darlene, wife of Patrick Dunlap and Ann, wife of Leroy Schaeffer of Jonestown, Paula Rice of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Craig Rice, husband of Linda of Newmanstown, Pa.; and eight nieces and nephews. Gail had worked as a floral designer for Royer's Flowers, a laborer for Alcoa, and also was sole proprietor of her own shop 'At Rainbow's End' and practiced shiatsu massage. She was able to create beauty with whatever she touched, be it her beautiful flower gardens in the east or her cactus gardens in the west. She had recently learned the art of gourd painting and carving, and consequently won several awards for her art. Gail was a positive thinker, always looking for the good in others. She loved animals, fish, and anything about nature. She enjoyed the outdoors, whether she was snorkeling in the Carribean, working in her gardens or digging for fossil fish. She spent the last ten years of her life traveling the United States with Art and her beloved cat as well. She touched many hearts and will be missed by so many.Gail's final resting place will be in Cottonwood Canyon, Colorado.
