Yeagley, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 14, 2011, at Twin Oaks Nursing Home, Campbelltown. She was married for 43 years to Donald L. Yeagley, who died in 1989. She was born on Wednesday, February 7, 1923, in Clearfield, to the late John S. and Charlotte (Bloom) Hancock. For years, Charlotte attended Trinity U.C.C. in Palmyra, where she was very active as a member of the Christian Fellowship Class, and as a chairperson for the church bazaar. She was a member of the Women's Guild and volunteered at the U.C.C. Home in Annville. She attended the Lebanon Co. breakfast meetings with Church Women Together. She served as a consultant to the Penn Laurel Council of the Girl Scouts of America, and was a volunteer for Lebanon Valley Mall events with the Lebanon Co. Boy Scouts. In more recent years, she was attending the Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ, Hershey. She is survived by a son, John S. and wife, Patsy L. Yeagley of Lebanon; daughter, Vicki L. Yeagley of Montoursville; grandchildren, Michael J. and wife, Dawn Yeagley of Lebanon, and Jennifer L. Miller of Maynardville, Tenn.; great-grandson, Jeremy; and a sister-in-law, Jean Hancock of Bellefonte. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Ruth; seven brothers; and one sister. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Pastor Betsy Bruaw officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
