  MYERSTOWN Alice C. Yingst, 89, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Reading 
  Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Harold R. Yingst who died on 
  March 14, 1999. Born in Minneapolis, Minn., on September 1, 1921, she was the 
  daughter of the late John W. and Cleo (Boyere) Young. She owned and operated 
  Yingst Printing, Myerstown, for 38 years retiring in 1987. She was a 1939 
  graduate of Reading High School, a 1940 graduate of the Reading Academy of 
  Beauty Culture, and enjoyed sewing. She was a member of Tulpehocken UCC, 
  Richland. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen A. wife of Steve Weik of 
  Myerstown; a son, David M. husband of Debra Yingst of Newmanstown; 
  grandchildren, Austin Yingst, Brandon Yingst, and Jason Weik; great-
  grandchildren, Dakota Weik and Jadyn Weik; one niece, and two nephews. She was 
  preceded in death by a son, Paul D. Yingst in 1959; and sister, Connie M. Kiene 
  in 1995. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 1, at 8 p.m. from 
  Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Visitation Wednesday at 
  7 p.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of 
  flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research 
  Hospital.
