  BROWNSTOWN- Ronald C. Young, 53, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011, at his 
  residence. He was the companion of Cheryl L. Spohn.Ronald was employed as the 
  Store Manager of the Lebanon Wal Mart. He was also a research historian and 
  author on the American Civil War. He was the author of the books Lancaster 
  County Civil War Sites Revisited, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, In The Civil War, 
  and Thomas Welsh In The Mexican War. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #43 F&AM 
  in Lancaster and the Lancaster Historical Society. He was a Cub Scout Pack 
  Leader, Little League baseball coach, and an avid sports fan, especially Philly 
  sports. In addition to his companion, Cheryl, he is survived by a son, Joshua 
  L. Young; stepson, Brett, husband of Erin Spohn; stepdaughter, Christina Spohn; 
  and two step-grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Dolores Young; 
  sister, Cathy, wife of James Sheehan; brother, Carl Young; one niece; and one 
  nephew. Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Arnold R. Young. Friends 
  will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., 
  Ephrata, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011. Memorial services will 
  follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. David Hinkley officiating. Final care will be 
  private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider 
  memorial donations to the Joshua L. Young Fund.
