M. shabodeho@aol.com May 7, 2011, 12:54 am Published in Lebanon Daily News on May 1, 2011 Violet Zimmerman PALMYRA Violet (Geib) Zimmerman, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2011, at The Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. She was born Wednesday, December 1, 1926, in Palmyra to the late Reverend Christian Geib and Ada (Fasnacht) Geib. She was predeceased by her loving husband Warren A. Zimmerman on Monday, March 21, 2011, with whom she would have celebrated 65 years of marriage on April 4, 2011. She graduated from Palmyra High School in 1944, was a faithful member of United Zion Church, and enjoyed cooking for those she loved. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who served and loved her family by the Word of God. She is survived by two sons, Thomas W. Zimmerman and wife Jane of Palmyra, and Robert J. Zimmerman and wife Carol of White Hall, Md.; three grandchildren, David R. Zimmerman and wife Jenifer of Palmyra, Shaun M. Zimmerman, and Jamie A. R. Zimmerman both of Towson, Md.; two great- grandchildren, Victoria E. and Zachary P.; four sisters, Mary Miller of Lebanon, Ethel Kline wife of Paul of Lebanon, June Kettering of Annville, Blanche Yingst wife of Albert of North Carolina; three brothers, Robert Geib of Lebanon, Richard Geib of Carlisle, Herbert Geib and wife Joyce of Elizabethtown. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mable Nauman and Myrtle Yohn; four brothers, Ray, William, David, and Frank Geib. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at United Zion Church, 1000 East Oak St., Palmyra, 17078 with Pastors Daniel Hobbs and Rick Martin officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra has been entrusted with the arrangements.
