Arnold, 81, formerly of Lebanon, husband of Joyce (Engle) Arnold for 48 years, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Douglassville, he was the son of the late Stephen Joseph and Miriam (Miller) Arnold. Harry was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High in 1949, and then attended DeVry Institute of Technology, Computer Technology. He also served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War as a Gunner's Mate II on the ship Matagorda. Harry retired first from Unisys after 37 years as a computer technician and most recently from CTDI in West Chester where he worked as an electronic technician. He worked full time until the age of 80. He worked on the computer systems at the Manned Space Center in Houston and was on duty for the first space walk. Harold was a member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church. Harry enjoyed life, cherishing time spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Surviving, along with his wife, are Arlene Fancovic of Lebanon; sons, Mark Goodman of Hudson, Fla., Craig Goodman of East Coventry, Keith Goodman, husband of Melissa of Earlville, Anthony Arnold of North Coventry, Stephen Arnold of East Coventry, and Woodrow Arnold, husband of Tai of Birdsboro; daughters, Carol Latshaw, wife of Brian of Spring City, and Carol Stonesifer of Spring City; 12 grandchildren; tand hree great- grandchildren. Along with his parents, Harold was predeceased by his brother, Stephen, and his daughter, Paula Kinsworthy. A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, June 9, 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More, 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown 19465. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown. Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Pottstown, is in charge of arrangements.
