  David I. Bahney 
  
  LEBANON David I. Bahney, 84, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born in Philadelphia, on May 31, 1927, he was the 
  son of the late Edgar N. and Lillian (Isenberg) Bahney. He graduated from 
  Myerstown High School in 1945 and Ursinus College in 1949 and played on the 
  championship Mid-Atlantic Conf. Basketball team from 1945-1946. He was 
  inducted into the Ursinus College Sports Hall of Fame. He was the past 
  president and owner of Bahneys' Furniture Store and the former owner of 
  Bahneys Funeral Home. He served on numerous local and regional bank boards and 
  was president of the Keystone State Games for many years. An avid golfer, he 
  was a long time member of the Lebanon Country Club and Cripple Creek Country 
  Club in Bethany Beach, Del., where he and his wife maintained a second home. 
  Surviving are his wife, the former Joyce Lutz, sons, Douglas N. Bahney and 
  wife, Judy Hunsberger and Gregg J. Bahney and wife, Mary Kurtz, and 
  grandchildren, Hannah and Adam Bahney, all of Myerstown. He wished to be 
  remembered by his friends as they last knew him and requested a private family 
  burial.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown.
