M. shabodeho@aol.com August 17, 2012, 12:24 am Published in Lebanon Daily News on August 8, 2012 MIFFLIN Charlotte Rebecca Bamberger, 89, died on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin. Mrs. Bamberger was formerly from Williamsport, and resided in McAlisterville, since 2001. Born on November 23, 1922, in Weaver-town, Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Walter William and Rebecca Lick (Lentz) Reedy. On August 9, 1941, she married David W. Bamberger, with whom she shared more than 55 years of marriage, before he preceded her in death on March 12, 1996. Surviving are her children, Shirley Bamberger Rohm and her husband Fredric (Bill) W. Rohm, of Port Royal, and her son, David W. Bamberger Jr. of Parsons, Kan. Mrs. Bamberger is also survived by five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; Frederic (Ric) W. Rohm Jr., his wife Andrea, and children Noah, Julia, Regina, Natalie and Renee of Riverview, FL; Kira Rohm Michelson, her husband Brian and children Benjamin and Jillian of Carlisle; Rebecca Rohm Morlock, her husband Marc, and children Charlotte and Maren of Annapolis, Md.; Senta Bamberger Meister, her husband Brad and children Alex and Sidni of Parsons, Kan.; and Monica Bamberger Ganter, her husband Patrick, and children Ethan and Gavin of Swan Point, Md. Mrs. Bamberger was a 1940 graduate of South Lebanon High School, Lebanon, and a member of the Myerstown United Church of Christ, Myerstown. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday from St. Stephen Episcopal Church, Thompsontown, with the Reverend Daphne S.K. Messersmith officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Williamsport. There are no viewing hours and family burial is private. For those who wish memorial donations in Mrs. Bamberger's memory, they may be made to Center for Dementia Research, Orangeburg, NY. Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, is in charge of arrangements.
