M. shabodeho@aol.com August 9, 2012, 6:06 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on July 25, 2012 LEBANON Lucille M. Bashore, 81, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald Miles Bashore. Born in Mt. Zion, on June 27, 1931, Lucille was a daughter of the late Henry J. and Mary (Heisey) Arnold. Lucille was a member of St. Cecilia's Church where she was active in church functions including teaching Sunday School to preschool aged children, participating in weekly bible study, and volunteering at the annual church festival. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Prior to retiring, Lucille worked as a home health aide for Good Samaritan Hospital's Visiting Nurses Association, but her most important job, together with her husband, was raising their 7 children and teaching them the importance of family. She is survived by seven children, Ronald M., husband of Linda Bashore of Claysburg; Randall T., husband of Gail Bashore of Fork Union, Va.; Dale A., husband of Brenda Bashore of Hamburg; Brian J. Bashore of Lebanon; Justine "Tina", wife of Scott Sayers of Sinking Spring; Janice A., wife of Leonard Scott of Hope Mills, N.C. and Michele M. Bashore of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers: Henry Arnold of Lebanon and Allen Arnold of Detroit, Michigan; and two sisters: Elizabeth Guindon, Lebanon and Rita Gloss of Annville. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Luke Bashore, of Fork Union, Va. Funeral Service Friday 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, 202 E. Lehman Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment at Salem Church Cemetery, Bethel. Viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042 and Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
