  ANNVILLE Betty L. Batz, 62, died Thursday, August 30, 2012, at the M. S. 
  Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Richard J. Batz, to whom she was 
  married 44 years on March 23, 2012. Born in Hershey, on October 1, 1949, she 
  was the daughter of the late Joseph Popp, Sr. and Irene M. (Nye) Popp. She was 
  employed for many years as a cook for numerous restaurants in the area and 
  enjoyed sewing, crafts, and baking. In addition to her husband, she is survived 
  by a daughter, Tammy, wife of Andrew Murphy of Annville; a son, Michael Batz, 
  fiance of Kim Tyson, both of Annville; and grandchildren, Luke and Kyle Sonnen, 
  Luke and Simon Murphy, and Kacey and Kiah Resmiller, all of Annville. Funeral 
  services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Lebanon Area 
  Evangelical Free Church, 600 Shepherd St., Jonestown. There will be no viewing. 
  Family will receive friends Tuesday at 10 am. at the church. Interment at 
  Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, has been 
  entrusted with the arrangements.
