  PALMYRA Joanne V. Bennetch, 80, died Saturday, September 15, 2012, in the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born September 7, 1932 in Palmyra, she was a 
  daughter of the late William and Cora (Lingle) Poorman. A member of Gravel Hill 
  United Methodist Church, Palmyra, she was a seamstress and tailored men's suits 
  for Hostetter's Clothing Store. She enjoyed reading, flower arranging, and 
  traveling. Surviving are her husband, Robert, with whom she would have 
  celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on September 16, 2012; children 
  Thomas and wife, Pamela of Tulsa, Okla. and Debra of Palmyra. She was the last 
  of her immediate family, being predeceased by brothers, Ernest Poorman, Robert 
  Poorman, William Poorman, Jr., and Harold Poorman; sisters, Margaret Shaver, 
  Helen Simmons and Mildred Shaffer. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at 
  Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Rd., Palmyra, preceded by 
  a visitation from 10 a.m. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of 
  flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lebanon, Pa.
