"Butch", "Pop Pop" Binkley 69, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Christiana Hospital Newark, Del. He was the husband of Judy M. (Doll) Binkley. They would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in December. Born in Allentown on January 21, 1943, he was the son of the late Harold and Beatrice Clay Binkley. During his life he was employed in several different areas. He started as a Store manager for Kings Department Stores transferring to Cleona in 1969. Later he worked in the car sales field working at various dealerships in Lebanon County. He ended his sales career as General Manager of the Ebersole Honda Dealership. He then went on to work at his "semi retirement" job at Henise Tire Company. He retired in 2005 and spent the remaining years of his life summering at his favorite place, Treasure Beach RV Park in Fenwick Island, Del. Dennis was brought up in the United Church of Christ faith. He was a member of the Lebanon Sertoma club, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2542 East Sussex Del., Lebanon County Gate Keeper program, Friendship Fire Company and Navy Club. He was a volunteer for the Make a Wish Foundation and the Red Cross, leader of the Seasonal Volunteer Events committee at Treasure Beach RV Park, and lifetime member of Progress Fire Company Social Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Thomas Bartal and wife Lorie Ann of Lebanon and Brett Thomas Binkley and wife, Donna of Allentown; a brother, H. Brooke Binkley and wife, Jayne of Selinsgrove; three sisters, Rita Fenstermaker of Allentown, Linda wife of Alfred Herman of Allentown and Janice wife of Edward Hohe of Allentown; four grandchildren, Brandon, Andrew and Hannah Binkley and Trinity Anne Bartal. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Binkley and a sister, Greta Dull. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St. Annville. Interment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy, Lancaster, Pa. or the charity of your choice in his memory.
